1. Medical Equipment Lending
Need a wheelchair, walker, crutches, or other medical equipment but don’t qualify through insurance—or just can’t wait? We offer free short- and long-term loans of gently used medical equipment to individuals and families in need. It’s simple, fast, and judgment-free.
2. Equipment Donations
Have medical equipment you no longer need? Whether it belonged to a loved one or you're simply looking to give back, we gratefully accept gently used items. Your donation directly helps someone regain mobility, independence, and dignity.
3. Community Guidance & Referrals
Not sure what you need—or where to start? Our volunteers are here to listen and help guide you to the right equipment or resources, including referrals to partner organizations when appropriate. You’re not alone—we’ll help you navigate your options.
4. Pop-Up Outreach Events
We host regular community events to raise awareness, distribute equipment, and collect donations. These events make it easy to access support or give back, all while connecting with a caring local network.

At the Medical Loan Closet of Joplin, we believe that everyone deserves access to basic medical equipment—regardless of income, insurance status, or circumstance.
Based in Joplin, Missouri, we are a non-profit organization committed to collecting gently used medical items—like walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and more—and redistributing them to those in need at absolutely no cost. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or caring for a loved one at home, we’re here to bridge the gap when resources fall short.
What makes us special is the way we connect our community—turning a moment of “What do I do with this?” into a moment of compassion. When families no longer need medical equipment due to recovery, transition, or loss, we provide a meaningful way to pass those items forward. And for those who don’t qualify for assistance or can’t afford what they need, we offer dignity, safety, and support—no red tape, just neighbors helping neighbors.
